Damian Hischier grew up in a small Swiss mountain village where life revolved around work, routine, nature, and long winters that made everything feel quieter somehow. Even as a kid, he constantly questioned the world around him instead of simply accepting things because everybody else did.

Before becoming a memoir writer, Damian trained as a carpenter while also pursuing aviation at the same time. Eventually, his path carried him into the demanding world of experimental flight testing, where he worked on prototype aircraft programs and later became recognized as the world’s first eVTOL test pilot.

But behind the professional achievements was also a deeply personal journey filled with accidents, surgeries, emotional heartbreak, chronic pain, loneliness, and moments that forced him to completely rebuild himself mentally and physically.
